Theatre
Dale is a theatre and film practitioner who began his career by creating multi-sensory and interactive children's theatre. Through a mixture of devising original stories, as well as adapting classic stories, Dale created productions that toured throughout the country. His innovative use of interaction, puppetry and storytelling has seen his work be nominated, and won, numerous accolades through the years.
Whilst Dale continues to work in children's theatre, in recent years he has also developed his practice and dramaturgy to explore social, political and cultural issues, examples of which can be seen below.
Dale's specialisms and interests include:

Children's Theatre - creating interactive and multisensory work. Puppet design and building.

Physical theatre - traditions of clowning, mime and physical performance.

Applied Writing/Theatre - Engaging with local communities in order to create authentic performances that carry a historic/cultural/social weight. Particular focus is applying the writing style of 7:84 Theatre Company, i.e. combining narration, poetry, verbatim extract and song etc.

Instillation art - Combining theatre and film practice within unconventional spaces in order to create immersive experiences.

Film - Utilising film and other modern technologies in combination with live theatre performance.​
Dale currently works as a Drama Practitioner in a Northamptonshire primary school, as well as being a Youth Theatre Director at NMPAT.
